Brochure
Software Manual
Technical Guide Standard Features:
-
Access
Privileges - Access Privilege
configuration allows the administrator to assign privileges to specified
cardholders. For example, you may have a Master access privilege, persons
with this privilege would have access to all the doors in the system,
persons with this privilege would have access to all doors in the system
whereas other groups or individuals may have restricted access by time or
entry point throughout the facility. "Protector" permits the administrator
to create up to 255 access privilege groups.
-
Anti-Pass Back -
When you implement anti-pass back this feature prevents users from allowing
unauthorized personnel to enter a secured area by “passing back” their
access card. You require to card In and Card Out from an area. The Timed
Anti-Pass Back feature allows you to enter a specific time so when the card
is used, it will not work again for a specified amount of time.
-
Device
Status Screen -
View your doors and alarm point(s) on a
graphical tree. Quickly see which doors are locked, unlocked, overridden or
in alarm state. Click on a door to see a detailed description as well as to
override it to a new state.
-
Cardholder Import Screen
- Save time by importing data from other
applications. Link to a CSV file, save a template of indexes and fields for
a one time import, or continuous importing.
-
Graphical Maps
- View your entire facility by simply
importing a file as a bitmap or JPEG, add a door by dragging the icon into
position on the map. Once your doors are added to your maps just right click
the mouse to override doors, ie, lock unlock, resume time zone.
-
Time
and Attendance
- Tracking employee
hours has always been an area of importance for employers. With this feature
you are able to assign certain doors as "entry" doors. When an employee
presents his or her card to that card reader to gain access, the "Protector"
software starts calculating the minutes and seconds from that point until he
or she exits the facility at an "exit" door. At that point the software
totals the number of hours and seconds the individual was present for the
shift. At the end of the pay period a supervisor or administrator simply
runs a report for a defined time period, and the total hours for the
selected employee (s) is produced. Exporting this information to a csv file
for use with a HR system is also available.
-
Cardholder -
Record pertinent information of cardholders
by using standard fields like Name, Employee Number, etc. or customize
headings for any of the many fields. You have the option of viewing
cardholders in a grid. A powerful search feature allows you to search
against any of the defined fields, or you may sort cardholders by last
names, first names or card number.
-
Time Zones - Create up to 200 different
time zones for you to assign to Access Privileges, for automatically
unlocking and locking of doors, for arming and disarming your alarm inputs,
for controlling of relays for lights, and for securing your elevator floors.
-
Who's In? - In the case of emergencies or
fire drills, you must know who is in your facility. The “who's in” feature
allows you to view every card holder that has entered the building through
an assigned entry point during the last 24 hours but has yet to exit.
-
Photo ID Badges & Photo Pop up
Create custom badges with ease. Import your company logo as a background.
Define which fields you would prefer to have on your cards, or customize
specific fields, save as a template, and simply print card. Configure the
cardholder’s photo to pop up at a specific door for quick verification.
-
Anti-Pass Back - When you implement
anti-pass back this feature prevents users from allowing unauthorized
personnel to enter a secured area by “passing back” their access card. You
require to card In and Card Out from an area. The Timed Anti-Pass Back
feature allows you to enter a specific time so when the card is used, it
will not work again for a specified amount of time.
